It is with great pleasure that we invite each and every dance student to participate in our annual student dance concert, scheduled for Saturday June 7 at Centennial Lane High School in Ellicott City. The theme for this year’s production is “Classics of the Silver Screen“. This year also landmarks the silver anniversary of Ballet with Cindee Velle. Students who wish to participate in the production are required to enroll in the 12 week winter and 8 week spring sessions, and attend production week rehearsals, Thursday June 5 and Friday June 6 at the theatre. Participation in the show is not mandatory for all students, however it is always our goal to have 100% participation.

Like last year, we will be doing 2 shows. The matinee will include all dancers, ages 3 through adult. The evening show will include all dancers except those in Preballet, Kinderballet, Preparatory Ballet and Combination classes. The evening show will also include competition pieces, solos, duos and student chorography. The two act show will run approximately two hours, with bows at the end of each act. The Thursday night rehearsal from 4:30 to 9:30 will be tech and dress rehearsal for the 2:00 PM show. The Friday night rehearsal from 4:30 to 9:30 PM will be tech and dress rehearsal for the 7:00 PM show.  A more detailed rehearsal schedule will be posted as we get closer. Every effort will be made to keep rehearsal time to a minimum, particularly for little ones, while maintaining the quality of our production. 

 Please read and complete the attached permission slip and return it either by mail to Ballet with Cindee Velle, P.O. Box 154, Ellicott City, MD 21041-0154 or to your dance teacher at by Monday, January 7, 2008.  Please include all costume fees, payable to "Ballet with Cindee Velle". (There will be a $20 fee charged for any returned checks.)  Costume fees are non refundable. New this year: as of Jan. 8, 2008 costume fees will increase $10.00 per costume. To avoid paying the price increase, please submit your fees by Jan. 7, ‘08. Revised costume fees are as follows:

            Ballet/Tap & Ballet/Jazz Combos – $50 X 2 = $100                Ballet I, II, III - $60

 Students, who are in 2 or more classes or families with more than one child, may call or email to make arrangements in advance to pay costume fees in installments.

Tickets for general seating will go on sale at Stonehouse as we get closer to the performance. Prices will be $15 for adults and $13 for students and seniors. You will also have the opportunity to purchase professional portraits of your dancer and a professional performance DVD. Picture night is May 6, 7 and 8, 2008 at Stonehouse. Please consider how you can help out behind the scenes to make our show a success.  Without the support of our families, these events are not possible.  We greatly appreciate any donation of your time and talents.  Below is a list of areas where help is needed.
