2008/2009  WES DANCE CLASSES

            Welcome to the 2008/2009 Dance program sponsored by Howard County Recreation and Parks.  Under the direction of Cindee Velle, we would like to welcome back dance instructor Shani McKindra .

        REGISTRATION – Registration for the Worthington Elementary School after school dance program is conducted by Howard County Recreation and Parks. For registration see Howard County Rec. & Parks booklet or go on line to www.co.ho.md.us/RAP. You may also call Howard County Recreation and Parks at 410/313-7275 to register.

 CLASS SCHEDULE FOR WEDNESDAYS
4:00 to 5:30 p.m. - ages 6 through 8 - Ballet/Jazz I ($115)

CLASS SCHEDULE FOR FRIDAYS ($75)
4:00 to 4:45 p.m. – ages 3, 4  and 5 - Creative Movement

4:45 to 6:15 p.m. - ages 8 through 10 - Ballet Jazz II ($115)

12 WEEK FALL SESSION

There will be no classes on the following dates:

Wed. 10/17, Wed. Nov. 26 and Fri. Nov.28, Wed. 12/26, Wed. 12/31, Fri. 1/2/09

The last day of classes will be:

Wed. Dec 17 and Fri. Jan 9.

ATTIRE FOR CLASS - Girls are to wear pink Ballet slippers, pink tights and a solid color leotard.  Boys are to wear black Ballet shoes, black tights or dance pants and a white T-shirt.  All Ballet/Jazz students, grades 1 through 5, also need black Jazz shoes.   

HOUSE RULES

• No gum, food or drink is allowed in the gym. 
• Students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, orderly fashion.
• Parents are requested to wait outside of the classroom during the lesson.
• Students must wait inside the building for parents to pick them up.
• Please pick your child up promptly after class.
• In case of school closing due to inclement weather, there will be no classes.

            (Every effort will be made to make up missed lessons due to the weather, based on space availability at the school and teachers’ schedules.)

            We will once again be putting on our recital in cooperation with Centennial Lane Elementary School PTA.  Exact dates and location of the recital are determined by the availability of a Howard county school auditorium.  You will be advised when these dates and location are confirmed.  If you have any questions or need more information, please call Cindee Velle at the above phone number or email cindeevelleballet@comcast.net.  We look forward to another fun filled year of dance with your child!
