Dear Parents and Students,

            Welcome to the twelve week 2009 winter session of dance classes at Stonehouse. ☺ PLEASE GIVE YOUR YELLOW RECEIPT TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR AT THE FIRST CLASS.  TUTION PAYMENTS ARE DUE BY THE FIRST CLASS.  A 10% LATE REGISTRATION FEE WILL BE ASSESSED AFTER JANUARY 19, 2009.

            Returning students will receive information in class regarding our 2009 student concert from their teacher prior to winter break. New students, be sure to obtain a letter from the front desk at the time of registration or call to have one sent to you.

Classes begin on Monday January 5, 2009. There will be classes on Monday January 19, Martin Luther King Day. There will be no classes on Monday February 16, Presidents’ Day. February 16 will be made up on March 30th.

The last day of classes will be Tuesday March 24 through Monday March 30. The spring session will begin on Wednesday April 1.  Registration for the spring session will begin on Monday, February 9. There will be classes on April 10 and 11. 

 A few policies for you to note are as follows:  1. Be prompt to all your classes to ensure a thorough warm-up and to minimize classroom distractions.  2. Use the rest room before class.  3. Wait outside the studio until your scheduled class time. Only students are allowed in the studio while class is in session.  4. Parents are responsible for supervising siblings in the lobby.  5. Food is not allowed in the lobby.  6.  For fire and safety reasons, unimpeded access to all parts of the building is required; therefore do not sit on the floor in the lobby or hallway areas.  Please use the chairs and couches in the lobby during class. 7.  Missed lessons may be made up within the same session by attending another section of your class, or one level lower. When ever possible, please call ahead if you will be absent.  8. In the event of inclement weather, call the school office at 410/465-7674 or Stonehouse at 410/730-8113 or check our website.  If class is cancelled due to the weather, you may take a make-up lesson at your convenience.  We do not follow Howard County schools or recreation and parks in this regard.
